Rocket Motor Casing

SEC manufactures Rocket Motor Casings from Maraging Steel and 15CDV6 materials. The infrastructure and manpower required for fabrication of rocket motor casings are available with SEC.

• SEC Industries has over 15 years of experience in manufacturing a verity of Rocket Motor Casings (RMC) catering to a range of defence and space applications.
• Being the first company in India to prove and get approved for the manufacturing of LRSAM Rocket Motor Casings for defence applications SEC has been a part of various projects of DRDO and now is expanding its portfolio in the space sector.
• The manufacturing processes and RMC’s manufactured at SEC have been tested and qualified by Rafael-IAI, DRDO and ISRO.
• End to end in house manufacturing of all LRSAM, MRSAM Rocket Motor Casings.
• Dedicated class 100k Clean Rooms for welding, Semi- Auto TiG Welding stations and specialised fixtures have been established for the critical welding of special metals used for Rocket Motor Casings.
• SEC’s Machine shops have been augmented for the manufacturing all the necessary components and assemblies achieving all the required tolerances.
• The heat treatment furnaces, Shot blasting and paint shops have been qualified and processes have been certified by Rafael- IAI.
• Materials Used: Maraging Steel (MDN-250), SAE-4130, AA-19000, AA 7075.
