Established in 1954, SEC Industries has grown to a 500+ strong, world-class organisation with a distinct presence in the field of defence, aerospace, space and naval engineering. Commencing activities with a foundry, a general engineering facility and a commitment to excellence, the company steadily built on its strengths and strode on a growth path that went from industrial structures to specialised construction equipment to custom-built process equipment to the present where, over the last three decades, SEC has dedicated itself to the production of complex, cross-disciplinary products in the airborne, underwater, and ground support equipment areas for global defence and aerospace requirements.
About our Chairman & Managing Director
D.VIDYASAGAR a mechanical engineer from the renowned Guindy Engineering College, Anna University, Chennai is the Chairman and Managing Director of SEC Industries Private Limited, Hyderabad. Selected for employment on merit basis by M/s.Daimler Benz of W.Germany, he was exposed to forefront technologies and management methods in the manufacturing sector.
After taking over as Managing Director of SEC Industries in 1988, he shifted the prime focus of the company to sophisticated high-end products in the defence and aerospace sectors. His vision and firm conviction in the potential of the aerospace industry as the cutting-edge business of the future took this general engineering industry and transformed it into a full-fledged, comprehensively equipped design and manufacturing center for the aerospace, space research and defence areas.
INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS – OFFSET PROGRAMME
Under the Defence Offset programme, SEC was certified and licensed as an Indian Offset Partner (IOP) by the Government of India to provide manufacturing services to overseas defence equipment suppliers.
Audited and approved by overseas customer agencies for quality and manufacturing processes, SEC has, since 2008, entered into medium and long-term contracts for the manufacture and export of a range of ground support and naval systems with various blue-chip companies/organisations from Israel and France, resulting in a leap in terms of infrastructure, quality & testing systems and knowledge base.
SEC has currently signed technical collaboration partnership agreements with DCNS SA, France, Intellitech, Israel and is looking to partner with more global industry leaders.
