SEC’s advanced machine shops house 70 high-precision machines, meticulously curated to cater to a wide variety of products and processes. Most of these machines are specifically designed and procured to handle diverse manufacturing needs while meeting extremely critical and stringent tolerances with exceptional accuracy.

- The machine shop houses 23 different turning centres with various capacities.
- The Horizontal turning centers can machine jobs of Ø1000mm and Length of 8000mm.
- CNC Vertical Turning lathes have a capacity upto Ø4000mm and maximum job height of 2500mm. Tolerances achieved are Concentricity of 0.05mm and axial play 0.05mm.
- A SPM Lathe of diameter upto 3400mm and of length 10000mm has also been added specially for domes and end rings.
SEC is well equipped with high precision machining centres which are state of the art and are capable of taking complicated machining activities.
The following are typical components being produced from this division.
- Vertical Machining Centers have a range upto X – 1400mm , Y– 620mm , Z– 630mm, 4th Axis Ø400mm and are equipped with a 24 tool Automatic Tool Changer. The tolerances that can be achieved are X-0.02, Y - 0.02, Z - 0.02, XY - 0.01, YZ - 0.01 Sweep 0.02.
- A special highlight about the 5 Axis CNC VTM it has a Turning Ø 4800mm, Max job height 2500mm, Max z-axis stroke- 2000mm with accuracies of z- 0.016/ 500mm, Repeatability x & z Axis - 0.001mm, C axis 0.010mm.
- The 3 axis CNC Routers have Table size-2500mm x 6000mm with Maximum thickness- 100mm.
- CNC drill station has a rotary table size of Ø 3000mm and can hold a maximum job weight of 8T.
- Radial drilling machines have spindle specification of Ø350mm, Travel Lg. 325, L – 1720mm, W – 9100mm.
- The floor boring machines have a maximum job capacity of X – 4000mm , Y – 3500mm, Z – 2500mm.
- The vertical Jig boring machines have job capacity upto X - 1000mm, Y - 795mm, Z – 800mm, achieving tolerances of X-0.01mm.
